I am your neighbor, a teacher, and parent of five children who currently attend elementary, middle, and high school in Irvine schools. We are an Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) Family. I am running because of my compassion for our next generation–that they have the opportunity to determine what they are good at so that they can do good with it.

I have been an educator for over 20 years serving in many roles including teacher, instructional coach, administrator, and teacher educator. I received my teaching credential from UCI, my educational doctorate at USC, and am a National Board Certified Teacher.

My priorities are supporting policies that: encourage belonging and the well-being of our students in a positive and safe learning environment, supports the high academic achievement of our students and by learning 21st Century Skills in state-of-the-art schools, and strengthen university, school and community partnerships to support students. I want to retain and attract top teachers and ensure responsible spending and accountability of our taxpayer dollars.

I’m honored to have the broad support of Current IUSD Trustees: Ira Glasky, Paul Bokota, Lauren Brooks, and Cyril Yu along with Irvine City Councilmember Tammy Kim and State Senator Dave Min. I will work in partnership with parents, teachers, staff, university, and the community to ensure our students’ success.
